Hot springs and thermal baths of Greece

This page lists 39 places with hot springs or baths in Greece that have a page of their own. Each page says what the map shows (a natural spring or baths), the municipality, the towns, beaches, sights, lakes and trails around, and matches the place with the Ministry of Tourism's register of recognised thermal natural resources (29 pages). The water temperature appears nowhere, because none of the sources gives one. The site makes no health claims.

OpenStreetMap has 203 points that look like springs, baths or places with such a name; 92 of them carry evidence of a hot spring or thermal baths and were merged into 47 places (points within 1,600 m of each other). 39 have a page. The other 8 do not: 1 lies outside Greece and 7 have no name in both languages that we can support from a source (for example "Thermal Spring of Alykes" on Milos and a mud-bath place in northern Greece, which the map names in English only). The Ministry of Tourism's register has 86 entries and no coordinates; 29 pages were matched to entries by name and regional unit, and the remaining entries (boreholes and springs with no point on the map, among them those of Loutraki) have no page. The names, the definition of a place and the absence of health claims are explained at the end of each page.

This site makes no health claims and does not describe or recommend any use of the water for treatment; the medical use of a thermal resource is regulated by law.
