Lakes and lagoons of Greece
This page lists 52 lakes, reservoirs and lagoons of Greece that have a page of their own: 18 lakes, 21 reservoirs and 13 lagoons. The largest is Lake Prespa (263.0 km², the whole water body, OpenStreetMap). Each page has the kind and area, the municipalities, the Natura 2000 sites that overlap the water (39 pages), the official bathing-water sites on the shore (1 page), the towns, sights and peaks around it, daylight and the climate of the nearest settlement.
A water body has a page when OpenStreetMap gives it a name and an area of at least 2 km², and at least 1 km² of it lies inside a Greek municipality. Of 57 OpenStreetMap water bodies above 2 km² in the rectangle that covers Greece, 5 have no page: 3 have no name, 1 lie outside Greece and 1 is not a lake (a fish farm). Lakes below 2 km² are not included. For the lakes that cross the border (Prespa, Doirani) the area is that of the whole water body and the Greek part is shown separately.
