Katatopisi is free to use and stays that way through occasional sponsored links, not through selling data, running ads, or tracking visitors.
Where a sponsored link appears
A small number of report sections, for example the flood section or the sea/travel section, may show a link clearly marked "Sponsored," for example to an insurance comparison, a ferry operator, or a professional (engineer or lawyer) directory. A slot only appears once a real partner is configured; most are empty today.
What never changes
A sponsored link never changes a fact, a score, a risk level or a recommendation anywhere in a report. The report is generated first, from public data, exactly the same whether or not a sponsored link is present.
How the links work
Sponsored links are plain outbound links, nothing more: no banner, no iframe, no tracking pixel and no partner JavaScript runs on the site. This is also what keeps the site free of cookies; a network-hosted advertisement would break that.
Money
We may earn a commission if you use a sponsored link, at no extra cost to you. This has no bearing on which fact or figure a report shows you.
